On May 24, the FNL and TUPE Awards Night hosted over 140 Ventura County youth, families, and community partners.
The evening included a gallery walk with all of the FNL and TUPE programs presenting on their project work completed throughout the year.
To begin the evening, Dr. Valerie Christman, Associate Superintendent of Educational Services for Ventura County Office of Education and Kathleen Murvin, counselor for the Breakthrough Program in Conejo Valley Unified School District, were both honored for their many years of service in prevention work and the education of Ventura County’s youth. They will both be retiring from their work at the end of June.
Following this, Haydock Academy of Arts and Sciences and Ventura High School presented to the audience on their Lee Law project and their initial findings.
Finally, to close out the evening, the participants were presented certificates to recognize their prevention and leadership efforts throughout the school year.
It was an a great, amazing event to close out an equally amazing year…till next year!
